Friend,
Friend,
5 – That’s the number of new taxes King County residents might face this year alone.
We are facing a crisis of affordability, and it’s ridiculous and unsustainable to continue to raise taxes at this alarming pace when folks are barely scraping by.
STAND WITH ME AGAINST NEW TAXES ([link removed])
Whether it’s:
* INCREASING the 1% annual cap in raising property taxes,
* A NEW sales tax authority that would bypass the need for voter approval,
* A NEW transit sales tax,
* INCREASING the gas tax,
* Or any of the many other tax proposals coming from both Seattle and Olympia,
The reality is that politicians are spending your money and increasing your taxes at an irresponsible rate. As a lifelong champion of fiscal responsibility, I believe the government ought to act as a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, and raising taxes shouldn’t be the knee-jerk reaction to every issue we face. Asking taxpayers for more money ought to be the last resort government turns to in order to solve a problem, NOT the first.

Friend, as your last line of defense on the King County Council against never-ending tax increases, one of my main jobs is to protect your pocketbook from the greed of irresponsible politicians in Seattle and Olympia. But I can’t do it alone. Would you be willing to make a small donation of $35, $25, or even $20 to my campaign today? ([link removed]) Your donation is an investment in the future to help me fight against these tax increases and keep our region affordable.
Thank you for your help!
