Hi there, it's Lisa Blunt Rochester.
March is National Blood Clot Awareness month – and for me, that's an incredibly personal cause.
My late husband, the love of my life, Charles, died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2014 from blood clots in his heart and lungs.

Today I re-introduced the bipartisan Charles Rochester Blood Clot Prevention and Treatment Act — a manifestation of the pain that became my purpose.
And this March, I'm honoring those like my Charles who have passed from blood clots and renewing my calls to educate the public, continue critical studies on the causes, and find solutions to prevent blood clots.

I officially became the first woman and person of color to ever represent Delaware in the Senate. But even though our campaign is over, the work has just begun.
Will you help Bright Hope take center stage in the Senate?
