You know me, I’m a fan of all things Michigan — especially our sports teams! And there’s a lot happening right now:

Today is the first game of the season for the Tigers and both Michigan State and the University of Michigan are playing tomorrow in the Sweet Sixteen of March Madness.

I have full faith in all of our teams because I never bet against Michigan — not in sports and not in politics.

We can all acknowledge that last year was tough for our state. The Lions and Tigers made it far into the playoffs, but didn’t win the big game. And Democrats in Michigan elected Elissa Slotkin to the Senate, but lost the presidency.

Sometimes you can try your hardest to succeed and it still isn’t enough, but that doesn’t mean you give up. There’s always a new opportunity to win again, and with the right amount of hard work and determination, anything is possible.

With Michigan being a top battleground state this cycle, the only way we’re going to elect more Democrats is by investing early and reaching out to voters all over the state. That’s why it’s important we reach our fundraising benchmarks in big moments like Monday’s FEC End-of-Quarter deadline.
