I fully support the reasoning behind this article by Jamie Kaye Walters: She is sick and tired of being the intermediary between her kids and their friends. Just because she has a phone and her kids don’t does not mean, she reasons, that she has to be involved in everything. This wasn’t an issue when we were kids, she says, because we all had landlines and you could just dial a friend on up. So she’s petitioning to bring them back. I’m sold.
