Hello my friends,

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well in these troubling times.

We announced several weeks ago that we would be going virtual for our 2020 Our Wisconsin Revolution State Convention. We wish we could get together in-person, but we want to make sure everyone can stay safe.

We'll be meeting via Zoom on Sunday, June 28th from 1pm to 3pm. Please RSVP today to let us know you are planning on attending.

We'll be sending out a link for the meeting and a specific agenda as the date nears. We will come together to energize ourselves for the fights today and ahead. OWR is committed to justice and democracy in Wisconsin. Now more than ever we need to come together for organized action!

A main piece of business for the Convention will be our Board Elections. The Board is a critical part of steering the direction of the organization. Please read below about the details of being a Candidate for the Board and how Members can vote.

I look forward to seeing you all virtually on the 28th!

Sincerely,

Sarah Lloyd

Co-Chair

Board Member Statements at Annual Convention

At the beginning of the meeting all candidates will be allowed a 2-3 minute statement about their interest in being on the Board. The candidate statements will be recorded so people can access them after the event on the 28th.

Voting

Voting in the Board Elections will be by ranked-choice, conducted via a secure, digital voting service. The voting period will run from 12:00pm on Sunday, June 28th through 12:00pm, Tuesday, June 30th. All current OWR members are allowed to vote. To be a member you must have paid dues within the last year or asked for a waiver from dues. Dues are $5/month or a one-time payment of $50/year. We of course encourage people to support the organization with larger contributions if this is possible for them. For those who are not in a position to meet this dues level, OWR is very open to providing a waiver. To request a waiver please contact OWR Treasurer Jeff Perzan via email at [email protected] In order to vote in the 2020 Board elections you must be a current member by 1pm, Sunday, June 28th.
