June 1 marked the start of Pride Month.
LGBTQ+ rights are human rights, and we’ve made great progress within the last few years.
We have a choice to make in WI-07: A choice between a party who continuously ignores the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans, or one that is working towards full equality for all.
Let’s be real. For us to make real progress on LGBTQ+ rights, we have to flip this seat, keep the House, and elect as many Democrats up and down the ballot as possible in November. Everyone deserves equality, inclusion and basic human dignity, and in the words of Harvey Milk “a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.”
With everything going on in our country, it’s time we reaffirm one thing: There is no place in this country for discrimination, police brutality, or hatred towards any American -- regardless of sex, gender, ethnicity, or race.
And the best way to do that is at the voting booth -- or a mail-in ballot.
