[link removed] [[link removed]]Aloha,
We’ve been keeping you updated on all the work Governor Green and his administration have been doing to deliver results for Hawaii.
Josh is helping federal workers affected by federal cuts to transition into essential state jobs and continues to support families displaced by the fires on Maui with long-term housing, the addition of new permanent housing, and the One ‘Ohana Fund.
Since taking office, Josh has signed new laws to strengthen gun safety, protect women’s reproductive healthcare rights, lower our carbon footprint, reduce the high cost of living in our state, and make the government more transparent and accountable — and he passed the largest tax cuts in the state’s history.
Monday is an important end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, so please chip in now if you support Josh’s efforts on these important issues and his mission to provide trusted and effective leadership for Hawaii. [[link removed]]

The fund was created to provide direct financial relief to the families of those who lost loved ones or suffered serious physical injuries in the August 8, 2023 Maui wildfires.
“While no amount of money can replace the lives lost or the suffering endured, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing timely and fair compensation,” Governor Green said. “Today marks a significant step forward in the long journey of recovery for the people of Maui.”
Beneficiaries will be paid $1.5 million, with participation in the fund completely optional.
“It’s a personal decision,” Governor Green said. “We just want to make these options available.”
Hawaiian Electric, the State of Hawaii, Kamehameha Schools, Maui County, and Hawaii Telcom each contributed to the One ‘Ohana Fund.
The governor said that so far 23 wrongful death payouts have been approved and nine are pending for serious injury.
“We will continue to stand with our families, our community, and all those who need support,” Josh said.
Thank you for standing with us in supporting Maui’s recovery and the survivors who lost so much in the wildfires nineteen months ago.
Mahalo,
Team Green
