Fishing in 2025: New improvements, projects

It's not enough to just stock fish; it's vital to care for and improve the waters in which they live. That's the focus of Nebraska Game and Parks' Aquatic Habitat Program.

This year, anglers can enjoy completed habitat projects at multiple locations statewide, with additional projects in the works.

Spring trout stockings continue in April

More rainbow and cutbow trout are coming to Nebraska waters! Spring trout stockings will continue throughout the state in April, with many of these larger fish near or exceeding 12 inches. See the stocking schedule and find a location near you for some spring fishing fun.
