Elon Musk and Donald Trump have teamed up to dismantle our Social Security system. And the American people are OUTRAGED.
We have raised our voices to protest Social Security’s destruction―with thousands showing up in White Plains, NY to protest a Social Security office closing, and tens of thousands contacting their members of Congress to oppose Trump’s nominee to lead the Social Security Administration. Now, the Trump administration is reeling. They are delaying plans to force destructive new bureaucracy onto Americans who need help accessing the benefits they’ve earned through a lifetime of hard work.
Now is not the time to stop pushing. Trump and Musk are feeling the pressure―we have to show that we won’t be satisfied by half-measures. We must keep fighting for our Social Security system! Rush a donation today!
Americans are rightfully furious about the Trump administration making it harder for them to access their earned Social Security benefits. They are making their voices heard at townhalls and rallies across the country, and calling their members of Congress. Now, they've forced the White House to partly walk back a needless burden―delaying plans to force millions of Americans into understaffed, overcrowded field offices for in-person verification.
But this delay is only for 2 weeks―they likely hope to get a few headlines that show they’re “listening” and then implement their deadly proposals anyway.
The damage the Trump administration is doing to Social Security remains immense. Forcing more people to travel to field offices, while announcing plans to close those offices, will not be a better idea in April than it was in March. That’s why we need to keep pushing.
The White House needs to roll back all of these senseless burdens, cancel plans to close dozens of field offices, and fully staff the Social Security Administration instead of pushing out thousands of employees.
