Upcoming Learn to Hunt Workshops - Augusta
This weekend The Maine Sportsman magazine and Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine are hosting the Maine Sportsman's Show at the Augusta Civic Center. You'll find with new and returning exhibitors, an archery station, hourly raffles, and turkey calling. The annual Duck Stamp Contest will be judged, and there will be seminars and demonstrations including these Learn to Hunt Workshops offered by Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife staff. Bear Trapper Education
Discover a new challenge with bear trapping. Participants will learn the importance of black bears in our ecosystem, the role of trapping in Maine’s black bear management program, specific laws and regulations that pertain to bear trapping, and how to participate in bear trapping safely, ethically, and lawfully.
