As the People’s Lawyer, it’s my responsibility to take action when the Trump administration breaks the law or violates our Constitution. I didn’t run for office so I could sue Donald Trump and his cronies, but I will if that’s what it takes to protect Minnesotans.
I know many of you are worried about how this administration’s chaotic, cruel, and unlawful actions will impact your ability to afford your lives and to live with safety, dignity, and respect. Listening to your concerns and showing you what I’m doing in response is an important part of my job.
That’s why I held a town hall with four of my fellow attorneys general last week. We heard deeply moving stories from veterans fired from jobs they excelled at, trans folks facing discrimination, and teachers watching their schools come under attack.
These powerful stories can serve as evidence in our ongoing lawsuits against the Trump administration. Rest assured that I’ll continue listening to you and doing everything I can to defend our values and the rule of law.
But I can’t do it alone. Your stories help further this fight, but we also need your support. Our campaign is up against a critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline on March 31, and we still need to raise $30,000 to stay on track.
