These first few months in Congress have been a whirlwind. Here are a few things I need you to know:
- This administration continues to cause chaos. From the illegal firing of thousands of federal employees and veterans, gutting services including Social Security, tariff and trade wars, the list goes on.
- The national GOP has made me an immediate target of attacks from the NRCC and super PACs. It’s why national Democrats have named me to their “Frontline” program for the most at-risk incumbents – this seat is key to either party controlling Congress, and without the majority, Democrats have little chance of providing oversight.
- The first end-of-quarter deadline of the year – when our fundraising goes public for all to see – hits on Monday. We’re still rebuilding our warchest from November’s hard-fought win, and we must project strength to ward off these attacks and set the tone for our re-election campaign.
