Access datasets on sexual victimization in juvenile justice facilities [ [link removed] ]

BJS has released the Survey of Sexual Victimization in Juvenile Justice Facilities 2013–2018 datasets through the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD). The Survey of Sexual Victimization (SSV) is part of BJS's National Prison Rape Statistics Program [ [link removed] ], which gathers mandated data on the incidence and prevalence of sexual victimization in adult correctional and juvenile justice facilities under the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA; P.L. 108–79).  

The SSV is an administrative data collection based on allegations and substantiated incidents of sexual victimization by other youth or staff that are reported to authorities. This collection includes summary-level data on allegations and substantiated incidents reported to all juvenile justice systems operated by states, the District of Columbia, tribal juvenile facilities, and a sample of local and private juvenile justice facilities.
