3.6m hours of raw sewage dumped in England’s waters last year 🤬
That’s a record number, John. And yet we've heard promise after promise from water companies. Will they ever clean up their act?
Data released today shows the sickening scale of this crisis. There were 450,398 sewage discharges across England's waters in 2024. That equates to more than 50 sewage dumps EVERY HOUR.
Enough. Is. Enough. 😠😠😠 People are getting sick. Ecosystems are collapsing. And water companies are still profiting from pollution.
Reform of the water industry is in one man’s hands. We must make him listen.
Sir Jon Cunliffe is reviewing the water industry in England. And he’s gathering evidence right now.
We want the days of record sewage spills to be confined to history books! So we need to drown out the profiteering polluters and make sure Jon hears the voices of water users, bill payers and the general public.
That's why we’re flooding social media with #DearJon messages. And we need you onboard so we can get his attention! 📣📣📣
