Early Impacts of Washington's Regional Partnerships
Partnerships are innovating using community-based solutions.
The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) recently published a new resource that summarizes the early impacts of Regional Challenge Grant (RCG) partnerships shifting outcomes for K-12 students, adults, and families.
What We Know: Regional Challenge Grants [ [link removed] ] provides an overview of this progress and offers guidance on how these early-stage investments can help increase the number of Washingtonians with postsecondary education and training.
Early impacts within partnerships include examples of:
* Gains in financial aid completion and high school graduation rates for high school seniors.
* Improved retention rates among first-year college students.
* Near-universal participation for rural high school seniors in internships with local employers.
* Reengagement in postsecondary pathways among adults of young children.
* Effective community-led solutions and place-based strategies.
We invite you to explore this resource [ [link removed] ] and learn more about the early results of the RCG partnerships.
