Join The Big Spring Clean: SAT., March 29

Thank you to all the volunteers who participated in The Big Spring Clean 2024! Together volunteers collected over 9,000 lbs. of trash from creeks around Mecklenburg County. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and several partners are celebrating the seventh annual Creek Week through Saturday, March 29. 

Storm drains along our streets carry stormwater runoff directly to our creeks and lakes typically without any treatment. Runoff picks up lots of trash, pet waste, oils, sediment and other pollutants that end up in our waterways. Creek Week provides opportunities to learn about and help clean up and protect these often-hidden gems.
