At the second Democratic debate, every candidate was asked their stance on
a simple issue — do you support access to health care for every human
being in this country, including undocumented immigrants?

The answer was a resounding yes — as it should be. Basic health care is a
human right, period. But right wing media had a field day, using it as yet
another talking point in their war to convince people across the country
that undocumented immigrants are the source of all our problems.

Here’s the basic reality: undocumented kids getting coverage isn’t what’s
wrong with our system. It’s the fact that Big Pharma can get away with
charging massive markups for life-saving drugs, and making the American
people shoulder the cost.

[ [link removed] ]We can’t let conservatives divide us against each other. It’s time
that we enshrined health care as a basic human right for all people in
this nation, and passed Medicare for All. Will you donate $27 to help
bolster our progressive campaign to do just that?

Over the last decade, the price of insulin has tripled. The three largest
insulin manufacturers in the world make over 50% of their profits from the
United States, despite Americans consuming only 15% of the global supply.

This market failure happened because we allowed it to happen. That’s why
we need to take action, restrain the greed of Big Pharma, and ensure that
every person has access to health care for the future.

But that won’t happen on it’s own. It’s going to take a powerful
progressive movement fighting for justice. Together, we can build that
movement — but we’re up against some powerful special interests.

nationwide scale, and counteract the wealthy and powerful interests who
are fighting to protect corporate and Big Pharma greed?

This is the defining moral issue of our generation. As we speak, millions
of people are going without critical health care because of exorbitant and
inaccessible costs. But if we stand together, we can change the system.

In solidarity,
