image description: red keystone icon with bold white letters that says TAKE ACTION STOP TRANSIT CUTS NOW!
Jack 🚨🚨 Our state's funding for the transit has been stagnant for 13 years, and Pittsburgh Regional Transit has finally reached a breaking point.
Last Thursday, the agency laid out a devestating proposal to slash 40% of our transit, raise fares to $3, and eliminate more than 60% of the paratransit service area affecting seniors and people with disabilities the most.
🚨🚨 The time is now take action! Call on your State Legislators TODAY to fight for the transit funding we need.
You can stop the cuts! Send your letter TODAY! [[link removed]]

PRT, the State Budget, and Major Service Cuts--What's Going On?
On March 20th, PRT announced the cuts they would have to make in order to operate under the proposed budget, and we're not gonna lie–they're bleak. If enacted, the cuts would gut paratransit, shrink or eliminate 95 lines, and bring fare hikes across the board. These cuts would hit hardest for our disabled community, elders, and folks with no other transportation options.
Read our new blog to learn more about the proposed service cuts and what you can do to stop them:
