As Other Climate Legislation Stalls, Bill to Update State’s Solar Tax Credit Moves Forward

Legislation to change an outdated solar tax credit law—making it easier for co-ops and condos to access the benefit—has widespread support, and could make it into this year’s state budget, advocates say.

“I don't see who would be opposed to something like this,” said Sen. Peter Harckham, who's sponsoring the bill in the Senate. “We're cleaning our air, we're adding clean energy to the grid, and we're allowing the homeowners to save money on their electric bills.”
