The fight for NY HEAT continues, but we're also working to pass another key measure in the budget: the GAP Fund.

This funding will help New Yorkers who otherwise couldn't afford it remove lead and mold from households, upgrade hazardous wiring systems, and ultimately upgrade to modern, clean, affordable energy that protects the planet, and our health, indoors and out.

To win this, we're calling the Governor's office all day on Thursday 3/27 and Friday 3/28. That's right, starting today!

To take part:

1️⃣ Call Governor Hochul's office at 518-474-8390.

2️⃣ Press 2 to speak to a person. (If you are on hold for a long time you can press 1 at anytime to leave a detailed message.)

3️⃣ Say something like:

Hello, my name is ___ and I live in ____. I’m calling today to urge Governor Hochul to include the Green Affordable Pre-Electrification, or GAP Fund, Senate Bill S3315 and Assembly Bill A2102 in the upcoming State Budget. We all deserve the opportunity to access the benefits from our state's clean energy transition.

I strongly support the GAP Fund, and I urge Governor Hochul to put this bill in the state budget and help us all transition to more affordable, clean heating and cooling.
