"Construction on the project slated to begin this spring"
North Kitsap residents, business owners and others who use the Washington State Ferries' Kingston route are invited to attend the Kingston Community Advisory Council meeting on April 9. A new Active Traffic Management System (ATMS) is planned to replace the current staffed ferry boarding pass system on State Route 104, used to hold ferry traffic outside the downtown corridor then move it through town to the ferry toll booths and terminal holding lot.
Kitsap County Public Works staff will provide an overview of the project. Washington State Ferries staff will be available to answer questions about the operation of the system. Construction of the new system is slated to begin later this spring. Visit the project website at *kcowa.us/ATMS [ [link removed] ]*.
