In a 7-4 decision, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that California’s large-capacity magazine ban doesn’t violate the Second Amendment.
Let’s be clear: this law saves lives. Large-capacity magazines can hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition and are frequently used in mass shootings. By limiting how many rounds a gunman can fire before they must pause to reload, this commonsense restriction is a critical intervention to stop shootings from turning into mass casualty events.
