Every year, I have the distinct honor of hosting the Congressional Art Competition. Started by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982, this nationwide annual art competition allows high school students to showcase their artistic ability. The winning piece of art from each Congressional district is displayed in an eleven-month exhibit in the U.S. Capitol.

Submissions are now open for high-school-age students residing in Illinois' 11th Congressional District! For artwork guidelines and submission requirements, visit foster.house.gov/artcompetition. All submissions are due on April 18, 2025.
