Last week, we held a two-day "Study-in" outside the Department of Education, to protest Trump's attacks on of public education. He's pulling federal funding, closing affordable student loan repayment plans, and ultimately trying to shut down the Department of Education entirely.

You’d think education would be something we can all agree is a good thing for society. You’d think fighting climate change would be something we can all agree is a good thing for society.

But in the last few weeks, we’ve seen a massive conspiratorial backlash to our organizing work, led by far-right provocateur, Laura Loomer.

Here’s just a peek at what our replies on social media look like now:

YIKES. The right is stoking violent conspiracies because they know their actual policy is deeply unpopular. They’re cutting funding for students and teachers. They’re cutting regulations that keep our water drinkable and our air breathable. All so they can provide even more tax cuts for billionaires and corporations.

Instead, they have to use the propaganda engines owned by the richest men in the world ( e.g. Twitter, FOX News) to spread unhinged conspiracy theories to fire up their base about imaginary issues.
