Coming to a national park near you!

John, Trump is planning to lay off 30% of the National Park Service – just in time for summer. That means trash pileups and reduced park safety, staining the beauty of our cherished public lands and the honorable work of NPS workers.

These noble employees have devoted their careers to educating millions of visitors on the beauty of our natural parks and keeping them safe and clean. They weren’t doing it for the money: it was a labor of love – and Trump is punishing them for it.

Trump won’t stop until the national parks we know and love are destroyed, but our SEEC champions in Congress won’t let that happen. And they can’t defend our national parks alone – will you chip in today to power their work? [[link removed]]

This round of firings won’t save the taxpayer money. Not only does the National Park Service account for only 1/15 of 1% of the federal budget, but this short sighted decision will only drive down revenue – after all, who wants to go to a poorly-kept national park?

SEEC members have been fighting for our national parks for a long time, and we’re not stopping now. Climate champion and SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Mike Quigley is a staunch advocate for national parks and the workers who protect them – he leads the annual Climate Change in Our National Parks tour , which educates members of Congress and the public on how climate disasters threaten these lands. From opposing these drastic funding cuts to pushing for climate regulation – we are working nonstop to save our national parks.

Between climate change and Trump’s budget cuts, our national parks are at the most vulnerable point in their history. If we don’t act now to stop Trump and fight for our environment, the planet we leave for future generations could be unrecognizable. Will you send a donation to SEEC PAC so that we can make sure that doesn’t happen? [[link removed]]

Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
