Hi John,

Last month, we shared our first-ever annual report—but our work didn’t stop there! As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we’re continuing to break down barriers for parents and caregivers in politics.

Here’s an update on everything you need to know:

Campaign Funds for Childcare Update:

Vote Mama Foundation is the leading authority on tracking access to and usage of Campaign Funds for Childcare (CFCC) in all 50 states. In February, Florida took a key step forward as a measure to allow Campaign Funds for Childcare passed its first committee hearing, bringing us one step closer to breaking down a major barrier for parents running for office and paving the way for a more representative government.

According to our research, nearly seven percent of Florida state legislators in 2024 were moms of minor children—a stark reminder of why breaking down financial barriers like childcare costs is critical to building a more representative government.
