Hello John,

Economist James Buchanan won the 1986 Nobel Prize in Economics for his work on
public choice theory.

Public choice theory applies economic principles to politics, suggesting that
voters, politicians, and government officials often act in their own
self-interest.

It explains why politicians sometimes favor projects that benefit small
interest groups or why government agencies focus on expanding their power.

It's your money, not Washington's

But here’s the takeaway: Politicians are highly motivated to represent their
constituents’ interests because ignoring them would cost them support and,
ultimately, their jobs. From my years in Congress, I saw firsthand how much
weight lawmakers place on constituent feedback.

Before any major vote, the first question always was, “What are we hearing
from the district?” If there was a clear and strong consensus among
constituents on an issue, it often guided decisions.

Which brings us to the Trump tax cuts of 2017: These cuts, which provided an
average American family with $1,500 in savings, are at risk of expiring.
Renewing these cuts won’t be easy, even with Republican majorities, given the
slim margins in both the House and Senate.

We must act decisively to protect them.

That’s where AFP comes in. Our grassroots army is fully mobilized, working
across the country to rally support and ensure these tax cuts are preserved.

But they can’t do it alone.

Your voice is critical in this fight. Here’s how you can help:

We must keep the pressure on Congress to protect these tax cuts and prevent
higher taxes for American families. Let your voice be heard today.

Thank you for standing up and taking action.

Sincerely,
Joe Eule
