Dear John,
With the news moving at a relentless pace, it’s harder than ever to cut through the noise. That’s why we’re rounding up the top headlines from the past few weeks to highlight how Connecticut Democrats are delivering results.

* Senator Chris Murphy is stepping up as a principal leader in the Democratic Party — hosting town halls, appearing on national platforms, and amplifying our message at every turn.

* Senator Richard Blumenthal is fighting for our veterans, unveiling a comprehensive bill to reverse the damage caused by Trump-era VA cuts.

* Congressman John Larson went viral for his passionate defense of Social Security and the gross lack of transparency from Musk as he tries to destroy it.

* Congressman Joe Courtney is fighting for farmers in eastern CT and across the country, to reverse Trump’s arbitrary freeze on appropriated funding to make farms run more efficiently and generate carbon-free energy.

* Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro is calling out House Republicans' latest scheme to consolidate power, slamming their stopgap funding bill as a “blank check” for Elon Musk and Donald Trump that enables corruption and robs the American people.

* Congressman Jim Himes is demanding answers and holding Trump administration officials accountable for their sloppy communications and disastrous leak of highly classified military information that could have resulted in American deaths.

* Congresswoman Jahana Hayes is championing education and fighting hunger. She introduced the Closing the College Hunger Gap Act and the Feed Hungry Veterans Act to expand SNAP eligibility and combat food insecurity among students and vets. And she’s been in the forefront of the defense of the federal Department of Education as billionaires try to take it apart piece by piece.
Connecticut Democrats are proving that government can, and should, work for the people. We’re standing up for working families, protecting core freedoms, and keeping our state a leader in economic opportunity, education, and social progress.
We’ll continue fighting against harmful policies and protecting our essential freedoms.
Sincerely,
Sarah Locke
Executive Director
