The Administration’s funding freeze for international programs threatens vital conservation work worldwide. This pause affects essential programs that

• Protect endangered species and their habitats

• Preserve marine ecosystems

• Prevent wildlife trafficking

• Maintain forest conservation efforts

Altogether, these programs represent less than 1% of the federal budget but deliver significant impact for US interests—making us safer, stronger, and more prosperous. Doing away with them would not only impact global conservation, but it would also undermine global stability and America’s leadership—risking years of progress.

Congress needs to hear from you: ask them to support continued US foreign assistance funding, including for wildlife protection and conservation projects.
