We just got some long-overdue good news:
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of regulating ghost gun kits — upholding a Biden administration policy that requires background checks and serial numbers for these deadly, untraceable weapons.
This is a win, but let’s be real: This should’ve never been up for debate. But the gun lobby has spent years fighting to keep ghost guns on our streets — even as they show up in schools, in mass shootings, and in the hands of traffickers.
We fought back. Alongside Everytown and Brady, we filed an amicus brief urging the Court to reverse a reckless decision from the Fifth Circuit that would’ve gutted these protections.
This ruling is proof: Organizing works. But this is not the end.
The gun lobby isn’t done. Their allies in Congress and the courts are still coming for the most basic gun safety laws — and ghost guns are just one part of a system rigged for violence.
They want us to get tired. To give up. We’re not going anywhere.
We won’t stop until every loophole is closed, every bad law is overturned, and every young person is safe.
