Last week, I held a telephone town hall with Representative and Assistant Leader Joe Neguse from Colorado. Thank you to all of you who took the time to attend, call, write, and rally outside my office amid the chaos of the Trump Administration. I hear your concern and frustration, and I am fighting back.

Take a stand against Trump and his unconstitutional executive actions and donate just $9 before the first end-of-quarter deadline. [[link removed]]

The question of the day was "What are Democrats doing to stop Trump and Musk?"

The telephone town hall garnered over 17,000 attendees who wanted to know the answer to this question and voice their concerns. Rather than list everything, I want you to know that Representatives Jamie Raskin, Gerry Connolly, Rosa DeLauro, and Joe Neguse are leading the effort to consolidate the House response to the egregious Trump and Musk actions.

Just one example already is the fact that we are supporting over 140 lawsuits against the administration, and in cases where there has been a decision, judges have decided against the Administration.

In my role as the lead Democrat on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am also taking steps to stand up against the actions of the Trump Administration. I am demanding answers from the administration on how the DOGE terminations of critical federal aviation administration safety will jeopardize aviation safety.

We are amplifying the voices of our own community that the Trump Administration is hurting, including Lummi Nation Chair Tony Hillaire, who testified last week to my committee. He testified that extreme cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency will force a choice between higher rates to pay for clean water or to pollute the waters of the Salish Sea. A healthy environment is vital to Washingtonians' way of life and the regional economy, but Trump's indiscriminate budget cuts are putting our beautiful environment at risk.

I will continue to amplify the values of Northwest Washington and protect our friends, neighbors, and community. Donate just $9 to support our stand against the Republican Rip-Off before the first end-of-quarter deadline. [[link removed]]

After the town hall last week, I joined Joe Teehan from My Bellingham Now to amplify our action to stop Trump and Musk. You can find the interview here.
