John,
Tomorrow is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, when people across the country will wear orange to show that they are part of the fight against gun violence in America. For years, Mike and Bloomberg Philanthropies have worked alongside Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety, an organization Mike helped found, to raise awareness of the scale and cost of gun violence -- and to help end it.
Tomorrow is another chance to come together and demonstrate the strength behind this movement. Here are some of the many reasons why you should join us in wearing orange:
Because gun violence is a public health issue.
Because gun violence is a racial justice issue.
Because our children deserve to grow up safely.
Because gun violence is a mental health issue.
Because gun violence is a women's issue.
We need your help to raise awareness about the effects of gun violence. You can start by wearing orange tomorrow -- and sharing with your networks using the hashtag #wearorange.
But don't stop there. Here are some other ways you can help:
Support community organizations
Join a virtual event
Create your own #wearorange image
Download a virtual meeting background
