Dear Friend,
It’s a tough time, no?
Maybe you or someone you love has been targeted by the Trump-Musk administration because of gender identity or immigration status. Maybe you or a loved one has had a job or lifesaving social services taken away, in this administration’s drive to sell off our government to corporations piece by piece. Maybe you care deeply about the climate crisis, or people’s health, or any number of issues that are under siege right now, and are struggling to withstand the barrage.
Whatever you’re feeling, whatever you’re dealing with, you are not alone.
Because here’s the thing: No matter where we live, what we look like, or how much money we have, most of us want a world where our government works for us -- not for corporations and billionaire bros -- so we can all thrive. And there’s plenty we can do to fight for that world.
That’s why we’ve joined a large cohort of organizations across the country launching a new training series to equip folks like you to fight back. It’s called Rise for Freedom, and it kicks off this very Thursday. The first session will give you more info about the series and how you can get your friends, family, and broader community involved.

The Rise for Freedom trainings are for people who want to come together, grow and strengthen their local networks, and get ready to mobilize.
The trainings will be live online, and they’re designed to be done while gathering in-person with friends and community members, if you’ve got like-minded folks who can join you.
We’ll cover topics like how to organize under creeping autocracy, how to talk to people you might disagree with, how to make political violence backfire, and more. You can read all about it here.
Ready to organize? Sign up for the Rise for Freedom training series.
The thing is, people like Trump and Musk like to pretend they’re invincible. But they’re not. And history has proven it time and again.
Across time and around the world, people have united to successfully challenge governments that don’t work for them. From Pakistani students marching for democracy in the 1960s, to East German activists’ weekly prayers for peace that grew until the Berlin Wall fell, to the myriad ways people came together to protect each other during the first Trump administration and the start of the COVID pandemic -- ordinary people have changed the course of history by starting small, then growing. And we can do the same.
We can stop Trump, Musk, and their corporate cronies. The first step is registering now to get trained up.
Thank you for all you do to show up, hold power to account, and build a better future.

P.S. I know you’re being invited to a lot of webinars right now. This isn’t one of those webinars that will inform you in-depth about a specific, important problem -- though that type of learning is super important. These trainings will be a way to gather in community, learn concrete skills, and get ready to organize. If that sounds good to you in this moment, sign up now.

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
