Last night, in a Pennsylvania State Senate special election, a Democrat won by just 482 votes in a suburban and farming part of Lancaster County.

Trump won that Senate District by 14 points in 2024 with 57% of the vote. This is one more data point demonstrating that Trump’s agenda is hurting working folks across the country and that Democrats are strongly over-performing in special elections.

This could be a sign that we have the momentum on our side to flip the House this year, as a 14 point swing would put all three House special elections in play for Democrats—but especially in NY-21, where a 14 point swing would absolutely secure Democratic victory.
