John, I am honored and grateful to share with you that we held the PA House last night! Dan Goughnour won his special election in Allegheny County and will be joining us in Harrisburg as our majority-making seat. And to top that off, our colleagues in Lancaster flipped a Senate seat held by Republicans for 46 years.
This is an incredible sign for our commonwealth: people are standing up and fighting back against GOP control.
Now that we’ve regained our slim 102-seat majority, we can get back to work on delivering real results for Pennsylvanians. We’ve already passed some key bills – including ones that will protect our right to health care, increase workers’ rights and pay, and more – while in session this month, and with Dan joining our ranks, we can do even more.
Will you help me continue this work in Harrisburg by making a contribution today? Now that we’re back in the majority, we must turn our sights to the future and how we can best deliver on the kitchen-table issues affecting working families.
After the upheaval in the Senate special election and our victory here, it is clear that folks are standing with Democrats and ready to fight back against these radical Republicans. Let’s get to work! Gratefully yours, Tina Davis |
