Here’s something to know, folks:

I wish I didn’t have to ask for money in emails like this one. It’s one of my least favorite parts of the job. 

But the truth is, in a district as competitive as mine, and with a GOP House majority as fragile as the current one, every last dollar makes a difference.

Elections can come down to who has the most resources to reach voters and run ads. And with Elon Musk backing Republicans across the country, the GOP has a lot of resources at its disposal.

So while fundraising from emails and text messages is a necessary part of the job, I promise to always level with you. The sky won’t fall if we miss our goal, and I won’t intimidate or scare you into giving. 

But I hope you understand how important your support is, and why I need to ask:
