We’re excited to announce this month’s guest speaker is Isaiah Payne, a local field representative for Turning Point Action. Turning Point Action is a national organization that aims to embolden the conservative base through grassroots activism. Join us at Dilworth Grille on March 27 to learn more about Isaiah and the work Turning Point is doing to organize here in Charlotte.
We will also be conducting business during a portion of the meeting where we will be voting on minor changes to our constitution to align with our exciting rebrand and, as we have an interested candidate, we will have a special election to fill our open Secretary seat on the executive board per the announcment made at last month’s meeting.
The election will adhere to the following rules
1. Candidates must be nominated. A candidate may nominate him/herself and may
decline a nomination.
2. Candidates do not have to be present (unless self-nominating), anyone making a
nomination must be present.
3. Candidate speeches shall not exceed five minutes
4. If a candidate is unopposed, that candidate shall be declared winner
5. Candidate speaking order shall be determined by coin toss
6. There will be a short q/a session not to exceed 10 minutes following the candidate
speeches. “
