Republicans keep denying that their end goal in the budget fight is to cut Social Security. But all evidence before our eyes makes clear they're lying.

The latest sign? A leaked memo revealed that Elon Musk's team wants to make it harder for the Social Security Administration to offer basic phone support.

This means more people will have to use in-person Social Security services. For the millions of seniors in rural Midwestern communities, this is a deeply harmful action that could interrupt benefits.

From Axios: The draft of the memo viewed by Axios says the proposed limitations will be “significant” for those living in rural areas in particular.

As usual, the House Republicans representing the districts most affected by these policies are saying nothing. So we're going to hold them accountable, and set the stage to defeat them in 2026 if they continue to abdicate their duties.
