Today a new report ranked Joaquin as the most effective Democratic lawmaker in the House of Representatives.

Every Congress, the Center for Effective Lawmaking , a partnership between the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, ranks the most effective lawmakers in each party based on their ability to introduce and pass substantive legislation.

The report highlights that in the last Congress, Joaquin introduced 30 bills last Congress, and at least ten were incorporated into legislation that was ultimately passed.

Despite Democrats being in the minority, Joaquin’s success in working with his colleagues to pass legislation made him the #1 most effective Democrat in the House and the #2 most effective House lawmaker overall in the 118th Congress.
