Friends,

During the Senate floor debate on RFK, I argued:

"If the Senate weren’t gripped in this soon-to-be infamous period of total
capitulation, I don’t think this nominee would have made it as far as a
hearing."

Hours later, Senate Republicans totally capitulated — again — and
confirmed to lead American public health a man famous only for his name
and his embrace of conspiracist pseudoscience.

Total capitulation.

Historians will fill books about these months, when we witnessed the
elected GOP's complete and catastrophic collapse of courage.

They'll write about these Senators’ rubber-stamp confirmation of Trump's
worst nominees.

They’ll write about their dereliction of duty during an unprecedented
attack on the role of Congress as a co-equal branch of government.

Folks, as Trump elevates utterly unqualified zealots and
loyalists to the nation's most powerful offices, Republican Senators
suspend their judgement, march onto the Senate floor, and vote AYE.

Some know better. You can see it in their faces. They look ashamed. They
still vote AYE.

That brings me to the 2026 election.

2026 is our only hope to recover Congressional power and reverse this
descent toward one-man rule.

And here in Georgia I am the only Democratic U.S. Senator nationwide up
for re-election in a state Trump won.

I am therefore MAGA’s #1 target for defeat.

There is no path back without defending this seat — the seat that secured
the Democratic majority four years ago.

So I'm asking for your help. Not for me, for all of us.

An important update from Team Alsobrooks:

Angela is so thankful for this grassroots team’s support and is eager to
get to work for Marylanders in the Senate. That’s why you’ll be receiving
fewer fundraising emails from us moving forward, in an effort to not clog
up your inbox for the next six years.

Instead, we’d rather send you emails you want to read – like updates on
Angela’s work in the Senate, or rundowns of key issues and news stories
from Washington.

But to make this possible, we’re relying on supporters like you to
consider making a small, monthly recurring contribution of $3 or even $5
to keep our operations running while Angela is busy fighting for Maryland
families.
