It has started again. Efforts are now underway to kick the Vatican out of the UN General Assembly. Losing the Holy See at the UN would be a disaster for the unborn child and the family.
This effort is being led by the heretical but powerful group “Catholics” for Choice funded by millions of dollars from anti-life foundations.
We became aware of this renewed effort at the recently concluded UN Commission on the Status of Women when “Catholics” for Choice were given pride of place at a major side event and where they announced their renewed effort to silence the Church at the UN.
This group of heretics said at the UN, “achieving women’s reproductive rights and eliminating coercive laws is impossible with the Holy See as a permanent observer at the United Nations.”
They said, “The UN should not be granting this high-level diplomatic status to a religious body that is interfering in the progress of already-established goals, and it certainly should not be granted solely to the Vatican.”
This is outrageous and I have a plan to stop them.
Understand that the Holy See has been trading diplomats since the fourth century, centuries before most UN Member States even existed. The Vatican is a voice of reason at the UN, the voice of the unborn child, and of the family.
Our plan is four-fold.
First, we ask you to sign the petition HERE.
Second, we are writing to the UN Member States who are on the NGO committee and pointing out to them that these statements by this group are in violation of the rules of NGOs at the UN who may never initiate a political attack on a member or observer of the UN Geneal Assembly.
We are turning the tables on them; we are asking for “Catholics” for a Free Choice to be kicked out of the UN!!!!
Third, we will tell this story around the world and gather friends.
Fourth, we will speak to the press.
All this will take some time and will cost money that we had not budgeted, since this is such a surprise. We thought we had killed this effort years ago!
