But his strategy to, "flood the zone," can be so overwhelming for folks that it hides the full extent of his overreach, so my team and I did some digging—here’s a Q&A to catch you up on the latest: QUESTION: Is Trump really trying to get rid of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security?
ANSWER: While he hasn't explicitly said so, his MAGA allies in the House and Senate just passed a budget that will gut funding for social services, and his co-president, Elon Musk, said Social Security is, "the big one to eliminate," because the 71.6 million hardworking Americans who receive benefits are part of the, "parasite class."
QUESTION: Wait, so Elon Musk—someone NOBODY voted for—is rooting through my personal information and influencing where my tax dollars go?
ANSWER: That's right! Trump has given Elon Musk and his team of underqualified and unvetted 20-somethings unprecedented access to your information—and they've already been caught lying about DOGE activity several times just this month. QUESTION: I know there are lawsuits being filed by dozens of states and stakeholders about everything else that's going on with the lawless Trump/Musk regime—how have the courts responded?
ANSWER: John, federal district court judges have been issuing injunctions while they decide the constitutionality of Trump's actions and keep him in check, but the Administration has been ignoring court orders and avoiding accountability.
ANSWER: I'm on the House Judiciary Committee, where I proudly founded the Court Reform Now Taskforce to make sure our judiciary can continue ruling for the American people on the basis of law—not bending to the will of billionaires in the favor of extremists. But in order to pass meaningful legislation to curb the influence of the executive on our judicial branch, Democrats have to form a winning coalition in 2026.
