New York Post (3/24/25) reports: "The FBI launched a task force Monday to try to nail the criminals setting fire to Tesla vehicles and charging stations — calling the acts 'domestic terrorism' and eyeing an anarchy blog calling for more. The FBI is treating the attacks as 'domestic terrorism' and tracking people who threaten to carry out vandalism on the electric-vehicle company as part of a revenge plot on Musk’s government intervention as head of the controversial Department of Government Efficiency. Three people have been arrested so far for some of the attacks, which involved lighting Tesla cars and charging stations on fire. US Attorney General Pam Bondi has also labeled the cases 'domestic terrorism' and stressed that the individuals are facing up to 20 years in prison."

So, if we pay more, will the problem go away?


WWMT (3/24/25) article: "It's been just one year since Consumers Energy raised its electric rates, and Monday, the company is telling West Michigan residents to prepare for another one beginning next week. It comes after all three members of Michigan's Public Service Commission (MPSC) approved a $153 million revenue increase on Friday. According to Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office, the company originally asked for a much larger increase of 8.2%, before she and others intervened. Around $125 million of that money will go toward forestry expenses, including clearing brush and tree limbs, which make up the number one cause of outages when they fall on power lines."

One small step for LNG, one giant step for American energy independence.


KPLC (3/24/25) reports: "The Maritime Administration has authorized Delfin Midstream to construct, operate, and eventually decommission a deepwater liquefied natural gas export facility, Delfin LNG, almost 40 miles in the gulf, according to MARAD’s website. The project would utilize the UTOS pipeline, formerly owned and operated by Enbridge and the only 42-inch pipeline in the gulf. The pipeline runs from Transco Station 44 in Cameron Parish to the WC-167 platform. The project would also repurpose the HIOS pipeline to transport natural gas from the UTOS pipeline to the deepwater port. According to an order issued on March 10 by the Department of Energy, Delfin seeks to reach a final investment decision later this year and have construction of the facility begin."

Venezuela could be a great partner if it weren't such a bad neighbor.


New York Times (3/24/25) reports: "President Trump issued an executive order on Monday to crack down on countries that buy Venezuelan oil by imposing tariffs on the goods those nations send into the United States, claiming that Venezuela has 'purposefully and deceitfully' sent criminals and murderers into America. In the order, the president said the government of Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan leader, and the Tren de Aragua gang, a transnational criminal organization, posed a threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. On or after April 2, a tariff of 25 percent may be imposed on all goods imported into the United States from any country that imports Venezuelan oil, either directly or indirectly through third parties, the order said. The order said the secretaries of state, Treasury, commerce and homeland security, as well as the trade representative, would determine at their discretion what tariffs to impose. The tariffs would expire one year after the last date the Venezuelan oil was imported, or earlier if Trump officials so chose, it said."
