Dear Friends,

We hope this message finds you well.

The New Pennsylvania Project and Why Courts Matter – PA are excited to continue our crucial work of providing civic education to our communities. As a voting rights organization, our mission is to offer current, accurate, and accessible information on the importance of voting in every election.

Join us for our Why Courts Matter- 401 Virtual Town Hall:
Date: Thursday, March 27, 2025
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM (via Zoom)
Speakers: Kadida Kenner, Founding CEO, New Pennsylvania Project

This town hall will focus on the importance of our state and federal courts. Kadida will explain how these courts impact on our daily lives and how people can educate themselves and take action!

You do not need to have participated in the first three town halls to attend the final town hall meeting. If you’re curious about what we covered in the previous town hall meetings, you can find the recordings here: WCM 101 ([link removed] WCM 201 ([link removed] WCM 301 ([link removed]

What you’ll learn at the Why Courts Matter- 401 Virtual Town Hall:
Cross filing (what is it)
The threats to the separate co-equal branches of federal government when their authority ignored by another branch of government
The forms of advocacy you can take!

In Pennsylvania, voters have the opportunity to help ensure that our state courts remain independent and fair. There are three retention elections for the state Supreme Court this year. The decisions made by Pennsylvanian voters in November will continue to impact residents for years to come.

Judicial elections are an important way for citizens to have a say in the composition of the courts. By electing judges who share their values and perspectives, voters can influence the direction of the judiciary and ensure that it reflects the will of the people.

Your participation can make a significant difference. A civically engaged electorate is crucial to ensuring fair and independent courts.

Pleaseregister ([link removed] to attend. Feel free to share this invitation with friends and family!RSVP HERE
