that fits nobody…

“The premise upon which mass compulsion schooling is based is dead wrong. It tries to shoehorn every style, culture, and personality into one ugly boot that fits nobody.”
—John Taylor Gatto

Patriot,

As C4L Chairman Ron Paul noted in yesterday’s email, pointless federal agencies created by Congress can only be permanently dismantled by Congress.

Likewise, pointless federal spending authorized by Congress can only be permanently revoked by Congress.

President Trump has courageously issued an executive order to shut down the U.S. Department of Education, something the Republicans in Congress have said they’d do for decades but have been too cowardly to follow through.

Until now?

President Trump has staked out this position, now it’s time for you to DEMAND your U.S. Representative cosponsor Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill to END the FEDERAL DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION (FED ED)!

The fact is, even after Trump’s order, we are a long way from actually ending federal control over education – because huge amounts of education dollars come from the feds.

If you haven’t noticed, education is one of the most overpriced wastes of taxpayer dollars – at all levels. Schools of ever-declining quality cost more and more every year.

But the biggest cost is the overhead!

Every government school in America today depends on the feds and their “magic money printers,” primarily to pay for the bureaucracy!

So whether it’s bureaucrats in the U.S. Department of Education (Fed Ed) or if it gets transferred into some other department, he who pays the piper calls the tune, and the feds are STILL controlling the education system.

The only long-term solution is for Congress to shut down the Department of Education for good. Tell Congress to do so NOW!

Until and unless the Department of Education is shut down by Congress, anything Trump does is just temporary.

And don’t forget: All of the money going out – whether from Fed Ed, U.S.A.I.D., or any of the other out-of-control agencies – is enabled by the Federal Reserve and their “magic money printers.”

The Federal Reserve is the reason the “educational industrial complex” has all of this “free” money, and it needs to be shut down, too. Stay tuned for more updates on C4L’s work on that issue, as well.

In the meantime, please take one moment to tell your congressman –even if your congressman is a Democrat – you want Fed Ed SHUT DOWN.

Dismantling the Department of Education will:

* Return education decisions to parents and local school districts;

* Allow teachers to meet students' needs without federal mandates like the failed George W. Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” and Barack Obama’s “Every Child Succeeds”;

* Make every community a competing laboratory for better outcomes.

It’s time to restore local control.

Parents and local school boards can take back decision-making power from faceless bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. Teachers would have the freedom to create lessons that meet students' real needs.

We’ve seen the results of government bureaucrats dictating ineffective policies like Common Core and other top-down mandates. Reading scores for American students are the worst they’ve been in over 30 years.

The last time we had this much momentum behind shutting down the Department of Education was 1981.

We can’t afford to wait another 44 years for this opportunity.

You and I must demand Congress take action RIGHT NOW!

Together, we can fight for a brighter future for America’s children.

P.S. Education is one of the most overpriced wastes of taxpayer dollars – at all levels. Schools of ever-declining quality cost more and more every year.

For now, President Trump is moving to shut down Fed Ed.

But what happens four years from now?

The only REAL solution is for Congress to shut down the Department of Education for good. Tell Congress to do so NOW!
