John, it’s Women’s History Month!
March is a time to honor the incredible women who have shaped our city, our nation, and the world. From trailblazing leaders and activists to the women and girls making history today, their courage and strength continue to inspire us all.
Right here in Philadelphia, women have played a pivotal role in shaping our history and our future. This month and every month, we recognize the incredible contributions of those who have challenged injustice, pushed boundaries, and led the way for progress. I’m especially grateful for my colleagues on City Council who embody strength, service, and leadership every day in their work for our communities.

As we celebrate, let’s also commit to continuing the fight for equity and opportunity for all women. Their stories remind us that progress is possible—and that we all have a role to play in making it happen.
Wishing you a meaningful Women’s History Month.
Sincerely,
Council President Kenyatta Johnson
