It’s Matt again - I am the field director for the Josh Weil campaign in the FL-06 special. 

Together we have built an unprecedented get out the vote program (the largest for a Congressional campaign in FL history) which shocked the nation this weekend by taking the lead over our GOP opponent in early voting in a district where Trump received 64% of the vote.

Now MAGA has gone into overdrive to prevent a full-blown collapse in which they lose the seat. 

Last Thursday, our opponent dumped $600k of his own money into his campaign. On Friday, dark money MAGA PACs pumped in another $1.3 million. Last night NBC reported that Trump is concerned and watching the race closely and now even Steve Bannon is warning that their candidate isn’t winning:  

MAGA is doing everything they can to salvage this race and this surge of GOP money is finally hitting us. As of yesterday, Republicans took an 80 vote lead over Democrats in voter turnout.

Don’t let the shiny fundraising numbers our campaign has reported deceive you. We have spent nearly every dollar we’ve raised into making this breakthrough. As we fight to contest the airspace and keep our ads up we are having to pull crucial resources from our field program when we should be rushing more paid canvassers into the field. 

We’ve had to spend an average of $55 for every vote we’ve received - in campaign jargon this is our cost per vote (CPV). 

Given that the outcome here may be determined by a few hundred or even a few dozen votes, we ideally need a minimum of 4,584 new votes to win. At $55/vote this comes out to $252k. 

Our email list has 600k folks on it - if even 1% of people receiving this gave $55, the cost of a blue vote in FL-06, we would have above and beyond the budget to get those desperately needed 4,584 votes. Can you “buy” us a vote and chip in $55?
