Look, y'all, families all across Texas are going through a tough time right now. Nearly 2 million hard working Texans have lost their jobs and health insurance as our unemployment rate reached a record high. Things aren't going to snap back to normal, and Texans need help right now. So what has our senator, John Cornyn, done about it? Here's a quick timeline:
First he voted against expanding unemployment benefits.
Then he patted himself on the back about those benefits, calling them a "lifeline" to Texans.
Finally, after a lunch with his DC bosses, he called those very same benefits "a mistake." Seriously!
Let me be clear: I don't think that lending a hand to MILLIONS of hard working Texans who've lost their jobs due to a pandemic (through benefits that they've paid taxes into) is a mistake, and I think it's time for a senator from Texas who'll have workers' backs.
Will you help me out and make sure that the next senator from Texas will be the fighter Texas families need?

It's clear we need a real leader for Texas and a Senate that prioritizes our health care. More than ever, we're relying on online fundraising to keep building the campaign we need to win in November, and we greatly appreciate your continued support >> [link removed]
However, we know this is not an easy time for many. If you'd like to pause receiving fundraising emails for the next few weeks, please let us know here ([link removed]). We'll still keep in touch with important information and to ask your thoughts from time to time.
