*Occupational Therapy Awareness Month is celebrated every April? *

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a related service under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). OT is a science-driven, evidence-based healthcare profession that enables people of all ages to participate in activities of daily living or "occupations." These activities can include anything that makes life meaningful, such as working, playing, cooking, and recovering from injury. April is a time to honor the profession and raise awareness about the vital role OT plays in helping individuals live life to its fullest, regardless of their health condition, disability, or risk factors.
