On the anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act...
Fifteen years ago yesterday, President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Democrats in Congress made history by passing the Affordable Care Act, which finally gave millions of Americans access to affordable health care.
This meant no more bankruptcies over medical bills or choosing between paying your rent or your medication. It meant no more denials for preexisting conditions or being ripped off by Big Pharma.
But ever since it's passage, Donald Trump and the GOP have been obsessed with tearing it all down.
Even as sixty-two percent of Americans believe the government should protect the ACA, Trump and his MAGA minions are hellbent on destroying it. In fact, their new plan will rip health care away from 45 million Americans and gut protections for over 100 million with preexisting conditions.
He's tried it before. But now, he can actually do it.
We’re building a grassroots movement to protect the ACA and stop Trump’s extreme agenda, but we’re still $6,300 short of our emergency goal to fund ads, organizing, and rapid response.
Will you chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can right now to help us protect health care for millions of Americans?
